Does anybody have any hands-on experience with this equipment. I've talked to the dealer and got the usual "this is the best piece of equipment you'll ever own,,,". I'm sure it's good quality but I'm just putting out my feelers prior to buying.

You're dealer is an idiot. Is he in the field every day using the trimmers?
Honda trimmers 4cycle are too heavy to be practical for anyone but a homeowner. The Honda 2cycle trimmer is a clone of the older & out of production Sthil FS76 (same engine) with only a 90 day commercial warranty. Stay away from Honda's.

ha! I had basically thought the same thing, "damn this thing is heavy", and yes he was an idiot but he's not my dealer. I was in his store since he's also the only Toro guy in town and I was looking for a Remote 1000 solenoid to fix a sprinkler system his company had installed a few years prior when I saw the Honda equipment there. It's a rarity that I go in there but I believe it's also good practice to keep up on what is readily available. Thanks for the advice and the background info.
