  • Quick 36 Fox.

Did the Quick 36 Fox just jump $200 in price? "Last year" (a week ago) I thought was 1,695 for the mower alone, or 1,895 (package) with the bagger attachment and gator blades. I was just out on the site and it is listed all by itself, for 1,895. ??? I am assuming that is the new price for the mower. -

The price gap just widened between it and the Troy-bilt 33. (just mentioning the "33 can set off a whole controversy by the way). Some on this Forum think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and others think it is horrible. I was left just shaking my head, confused. The only conclusion I came away with is that it (the Troy) is not meant to be a commercial machine (sort-of).

    Troy Bilt

Thats right, Troy Bilt products aren't intended to be used commercially. The 33" WB you are talking about is a sorry imitation of more expensive commercial units. Troy Bilt must have built them to appeal to homeowners desiring one of 'those wide cut professional mowers.'

Most everything involving steel has gone up in price over the last year. I wouldn't be surprised if that is one of the reasons the Quick36 has increased in price.

all of the Better mower went up $200. Many are listing higher prices. Huslter is another I have had my eye on and they went through the roof, approaching 10k on several models.

btw - Better may be coming out with a new model - a larger one. That's what I've read anyway on the boards.

        Troy-Bilt 33

I agree with C Wooden. This poor machine gets tossed around on the Forums with pros and cons. Some think it is great while others pummel it. As C Wooden says it does what it was designed to do. The Forums need a category between Residential and Commercial where this mower and others may fit comfortably. And not Semi-Commercial, it raises too many arguements. Hyper-Residential perhaps. RMWA. Residential Mower With Attitude. But, hey, lets not use the word Commerical cause the Exmark, Gravely, Toro, Ferris guys will be all over that poor little mower.
