  • Feedback on the eXmark one-wheel sulky

Last week I purchased another 48" Turf Tracer HP, which came with an eXmark one-wheel sulky (called a Stand-On) as part of the promotional package.

As a two-wheel velkie owner, I poo-poo'd the look and feel of the single wheeled models...but no longer. This piece of equipment offers multiple advantages to the two-wheel velkie.

For one, with the ECS innovation on eXmarks, you cannot "hang" the two-wheel velkie as designed. It will rock back and forth and bang into the hydro rods which throws off their adjustments. Big Disadvantage! And hard to get off? Please...you can count on greasy pinched fingers in the process.

The Stand-On has resolved this, and in a related enhancement, now makes it simple (and clean! no greasy fingers! ) to hang or remove the little bugger. The use of spring-loaded latch pins is light years ahead of the two-wheel model that uses nasty-ass cotter pins with clips.

It's very comfortable and stable, similar to the two-wheel. The tire is substantially bigger, and is heralded as "no flat". Also, there is much less greasing thanks to sealed bearings! I wish I had designed this baby, because I'd be one proud daddy.

Don't be a hard-head, like me. Check this dude out, and you'll really appreciate the engineering upgrades that have been made. I'll definately be replacing all two-wheel velkies with the Stand-On.

I've got two tracers, mort. How much are they, anyway? I'll have to take a closer look. Thanks for the heads up.
