Husqvarna!?

One of the best shops in my area switched from Keez and Toro mowers to Husqvarna. I don’t have any experience with Husqvarna mowers. What are your thoughts on this particular brand when it comes to mowers?

Personally I'm looking at there 15hp hydrous with a 36'' deck.

I love Husky equipment. They make nearly every possible machine for the Green Industry. I have looked at the mowers and they looked well built. I have also heard good things. However, I have yet to buy one. I will be later this year. I would feel pretty comfortable doing so though. They make good, well-thought out products. Please keep us posted. I am very interested in their ProFlex 21hp Kawasaki unit. If you can demo this unit, please let me know what you think.

If it makes you feel any better, they are the #1 mower supplier in Europe and have been in this biz for over 300 years! Good strong company.

Actually, the Husqvarna commercial line-up comes as a result of the aquisition of Yazoo-Kees by Husqvarna, so the Husky mowers at your dealer are identical to what he has always had, just with orange paint. I believe they are still manufactured at Kees' old facility in Beatrice, Nebraska, which is the birthplace of the commercial walk mowers.

EH, the European lawnmower market is totally different than the US market....much smaller yards on the average and much less quality goes into the lawn mowers. Over here, the consumer mowers are just dressed up Craftsman mowers, which are MTD and Murray quality. The ONLY thing remotely commercial about the Pro-Flex mower is the 21 HP Kaw. The rest is made of plastic, for the most part. Now the 2cycles? Different story, as you can attest!

I AM NEW TO THE LAWN BUSINESS SO MY HUSQVARNA IS THE ONLY COMMERCIAL MOWER I HAVE RIDDEN. MINE IS A RIDDER, 52IN ZTR. I BOUGHT IT NEW TWO WEEKS AGO AND IT IS AWESOME! CUTS GREAT, FAST, RUNS SMOOTH. THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM CLAIMS IT TO BE THE NEW HOT ROD OF THE INDUSTRY (FOR WHAT THATS WORTH). HE ALSO SELLS SCAG, DIXIE CHOPPER, AND CUB CADDET AND SWEARS THAT HUSQVARNA IS FAR SUPERIOR.

Marty, I thought he was possibly talking about the walk behinds or the Husqvarna 'Z' mowers. Their ZTR's look great and rugged.

I really would like to ask you some questions about that Pro-Flex you demoed. Looks sharp. We do many small commercial sites and I thought it may be a good mower to look into. I got a price quoted for $6000 for the 21hp Kaw.

And yes, I do understand about the smaller yards over their, I just thought he may have been talking about their commercial lineup.

Thanks for the help, guys! I am focusing almost entirely on residential lawns so Husqvarna looks like a good choice. Their proflex 21hp does look like a good mower but I'm looking at their walk-behind hydros.

I recently bought a 36inch Husky walk behind because of my dealer's recommendation. He services all my equipment and I have known him many years. He says he doesn't carry the 21inch Huskies because they are not very good yet.

Girena , those 21's are made by Ariens . I have an Ariens (Husky 580RSW) that has the swivle wheels .They are good mowers .

Wish in one hand ,and sh*t in the other . See which one gets filled first
