redmax trimmer problems

My redmax trimmer started acting up last weekend when i was edging a curb it would kinda bog down and when i would just be trimming it would run fine.So yesterday i was using it and it started boging down and just got to where i could not use it. I changed the plug, checked the fuel filter and airfilter and all were fine what could it be? Its about a year old.

I've seen them do this when the fuel has been mixed too rich and oil has built up.

check the spark arrestor. I had the same problem on my trimmer removed the spark arrestor and problem solved.

Thanks i will pull the muffler off tomorrow.

the screen was stopped up on the muffler

I removed my screen because of that.....

i took all of them out of my trimmers

Mine did the same thing at one year old. I pulled the spark arrester and it has never ran better.
