What would be the diagnostic steps to follow? Of couse I don't have the manual any more...
It is acting almost like a awitch has gone bad.
    Thanks!
    Buster,

How many hours do you estimate it has on it? I love my new blower vs the old 400 models.

I don't know. I really have no accurate guess so i will say 250?

I know I should have changed the gas filter last year and this guy gets used if not every day every other day...

Don't get me wrong-if there is something wrong with this blower it is due to user neglact not Stihl. Next blower I get will be another BR-600.

it's located in your exhaust. sometimes they get clogged and cause problems. for my echo, i have four screws to take loose to get to it. all the ones i've seen are cone shaped just like the little filters on your washing machine inlets.

I have a 4 mix trimmer by Stilh, earlier ones had problems with soft valves it was said.

I have both Shin and Stihl trimmers and like them both. I just never did squat in maintenance on the BR-600 and it is coming back to bite me.

I've been using a Stihl FS-90r trimmer for nearly a year and it hasn't given me any problems. We service around 80 lawns a week (give or take a few depending on the week)....and use the trimmer for all edging.

Been using a BR600 for much longer, still no problems. In fact the straps need to be replaced. Used for mowing and general clean-up duty.

No complaints thus far....I will be buying another BR600 to add to the army before fall arrives.

He11 I could not find the spark arrestor. Sounds to me like something Steve-o's girl friend had to use on him to keep him from hurting her

I did take the BR-600 down to his shorts and will replace eveything I can before i have some monkey do surgey at $65/hour.

                Thanks guys!

I forgot, I did have to replace both fuel lines on my br600, but I contributed them cracking due to how the blower is mounted on my trailer. The blower engine bobs around...and I guess that's what caused them to wear.

Well that gives me a bit more confidence, i brought the same model recently and heard nothing but bad reviews ever since

The only negative thing is that the Auto head does not hold much line.

I've got a brand new br600 and hate it. Every time I grab the gas it hesitates, when you pay $450 for a piece of equipment, it sure shouldnt do that.

You gotta break the 4-mix engines in first. Give it some time. You can thank the EPA. :alien:

I think the BR-600 is the best BP blower I have ever used.
Give it some time and it will be a performer for you Snowmaster.
