• need info on exmarks

I have a 618, 44" cut Grasshopper and am looking to upgrade my equipment soon. I have taken a test ride on a Husqvarna ZTH6125 with a Kawasaki 25 hp engine. There is only 1 dealer in town and I have only found one other lawn biz using a huski. I would prefer a Kawasaki over a Kohler but reading the views of the guys on the forum I have not seen much input on the Husqvarna mowers. Many of the locals use exmarks or grasshoppers. I am leaning toward exmarks for the cost and quality of cut. Many of the guys I talked to that had front decks say they can be more productive with a mid deck than a front deck. I think Kawasaki has a much better engine than Kohler. CAN YOU GIVE ME YOUR INPUT. Thanks I enjoy reading the forum. I have learned a great deal.

I'm running a Kubota ZD21 and sure liking it. I chose it over the toro even though it carried a price tag about 1800 dollars higher.

I own a husky and the two main reasons I got it was that it was cheaper buy a bucket load of $$$ and it also has a 2 year warranty where most other brands only give 90 day - 1year for commercial.
No problems with the Kawasaki motor either, keep them filters clean!!!

I've never had a problem so far, knock on wood, with my Husky. Gotta love the orange!!!

Husqvarna is a top notch company. You should never worry about buying any of their products. They all seem to be well thought out and well designed.

I like the orange color too, but I would go with what the pro's use.
EX-MARK..

You can get it with the Kohler or the Kaw. Have owned both engines and can't complain about either. When it comes to the smaller engines I would go with the Kaw, 20hp and up I like the kohler.
I would like to try a honda in an Exmark.

Exmark also Has an advertised blade tip speed of 18,500rpm. I don't think there are any as fast.

I noticed when you are cutting in damp situation's, there is almost no grass clumping with the exmarks over the Scag's with same 25hp kohler; just an example of the blade speed.

I'm not knocking Husky, (I love there saws) But 99 out of 100 landscrapers would agree, Exmark. Ok. maybe 90.

I am a professional and right now I'm using a husqvarna for my main mower. Husky mowers came into town this year and my dealer is selling them like hotcakes.
I know exmark has excellent equipment but I think it all boils down to personal preference. Now there are many factors you should look at before buying a mower; cost, performance, reliablity, ease of use, ease of upkeep, availablity of replacement parts, and customer service offered.
I know this local guy that has a huge company in town that runs three types; exmark, toro, and walker. He's had bad luck with the walker-maintenace wise, but he say if you want to finese a yard nothing beats a walker if you can keep it out of the shop. He says the others are just mowers with no preference between them.
