can I stripe with a JD X324?

Hi All,
New forum member. I'm moving to a new house with just under an acre of property, lots of woods in back, and a pretty good slope. I'm planning on clearing most of the woods and planting grass.

Quick question, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a JD X324 mower (want the extra HP, and the 4WS is easy for my wife and son to control). Can I get stripes with this mower? The 324 comes with the 48" Edge Extra(?) deck.

I believe any mower can stripe so yours shouldn't be any different.....

Striping i believe is caused by the blades of grass being slightly bent down ,after mowing causing a difference in the way light is reflected off the blades of grass on each pass....

If for some reason the blades of grass didnt naturally bend enough to make adequate stripes from the mowing , you could simply install some type of aftermarket striping kit consisting of a large roller that would physically bend the blades of grass , making striped grass more noticeable...

I believe it depends on the thickness , quality , type and length of grass on how easily the grass stripes also , but im sure somebody with more expertise will weigh in in case im wrong....

A different shade of green spray paint applied on every other pass would probably reflect the light differently , and make for the most delectable stripes if desperate....:laughing:
