go to your dealer and just buy what you need. why are you buying crap at a hardware store anyway? did you buy your mower there?

        Support the forums sponsor....

Well 1 of them at least , or at least look and check the prices if $$$ are the issue.....

Seems nobody notices the flashing sponsor links above that support the forum and with GM make the place possible.....

I'm sure it helps GM out also....

I bought my mower used. So I have no dealer. I do all the maintenance on it myself so I don't have a dealer.

They want to rape you any way they can. I am small 10 customer base so I am a little guy but want to provide an excellent service.

Now in August when my daughter starts school, It will be a different ball game. just buying my small time.

Thanks for the help and I will definetly check out the sponsors that are flashing above me.

Unless there bent , or the air lift lip is worn off generally the blade can be re edged and i find works as good as the new as long as their kept sharp.....

Actually i sharpen mine different then the factory with a more aggressive angle and sharper but more delicate edge , and see a improvement in cut quality compared to new virgin blades until i put my special "magic" edge on them.....

You have any idea how many hours you get out of a blade ?????

I usually get at least 100 hrs but they do get a bit sandblasted from the soil here in FL but i would think people north with clay soil should get 5 times the use of me because theirs aren't constantly being sandblasted flat......

They last longer if you have several sets. I have 6 sets for each machine, don't have to sharpen till the weekend as well.

Well doing some searching and no one stock my blade and it seems that I might just have to buy a couple set from teh Hardware store.

I have a 33" WB Troybilt that I am wanting the blades for. That is the problem. Next year when I can do service FT on my off days I will be getting a bigger/badder/better mower. Unitil then..the Troybilt will make me some money.

                      Try Travis at http://www.texasmowerparts.com/

Great prices and great to deal with.

BTW, it never ceases to amaze me how rude 'some' people can be while supposedly giving assistance to someone when they are sitting safely behind their PC screen.
