We are needing a mini tiller for annual bed prep work. We need something we can rely on. It appears to me most mini tillers are designed around a homeowner/infrequent user in mind. I have been mildly impressed with the Mantis tiller from what I have seen online. The only question would be 'will it last?' Does anyone here use a Mantis in their business?

Yeh, I've had 2 of them for many years. No issues at all. We use them for prepping decent sized flower beds where a lot of flowers will be planted.
I would have no issues buying another one if needed.
The trick is to pull them backwards for tilling.a.k.a.---> Erich

I have the stihl. Going to try a different tine this year. I have the tines with a slight curve at the end of every other one and a pick on the others. I hear what works better for initial digging is the one with 90 bend or so on the ends, bolo I think. I guess I have the tines for cultivating already loosened beds.
Just one problem with the stihl so far and that was a bad fuel line.
p.s. The girl in your av has nice
nails.

You may and not know it. I think Shindaiwa makes many of the different attachment haeds for other brands. I'm thinking the power broom head and articulating hedge trimmer head are examples. This is just word of mouth info passed on to me though, so I am not sure of it's validity.
