eXmark mulchers.............

i pretty much use what is recommended for my machine. the only time i changed was not a good experience.

Gators, Mamba Mulchers from J-thomas, and just got a set of exmark mulchers with my mulch kit. I tend to buy the cheapest set of mulchers that I can. They all pretty much work the same.

Gators last a bit longer because they are much harder steel, also harder to sharpen.

in the spring and fall i use gator blades on my mowers. in the summer i use the standard mulch blades recommended for my mower.

i had problems using the mulch kits and the gator blades with it. they would leave little piles of grass at the discharge side when turning mostly but sometimes down the whole row.

i also sometimes once in a great blue moon use high lift blades between the 2 spring cuts i do bagging everyone's yard and before i put the mulch kits on.

i tried gator blades for my tthp and hated them. they would leave a blade or two sticking up every 4 or 5 feet. I only use the red wavey mulch blades for the exmark.

I like the orange ones. They cut better and last longer!!
