what hydro fliud for a t 16 k ransom bobcat

Hi - I reciently purchased a '83 ransom, deck out front, two drive wheels in middle and trailing steering tire, and am reading conflicting info on what fluid to put in the transmission.

Currently, it is a red fliud, but I read a guy on here who wrote that 30 weight motor oil was the thing to use.

What does the manufacture say to use ?

Sammy - that would be the easy way...

Anyway - for anyone searching on the Ransomes, I did get info from two sources. And origional owner who still have the old manuals told me to use non detergent 30 weight motor oil. And a nice guy from Comercial Grounds Care, Inc. (Eric) e-mailed me the following:

The oil for that unit is Mobil DTE-26 or straight 20, 30 or 40 engine oil (the lighter weights for north and heavier weights for the south). Also attached is a parts manual for the unit. I seriously doubt if much of it is still available but figured it didn’t hurt to send it.
