I had a Kaw engine on one of my John Deeres and that was the only thing good about the mower. I don't have any idea what the engine model was but it was 1st class and took enormous abuse.

I now use HRC216 Honda WB mower and have never had any problems that I did not cause...

Let's see, I have a 5hp engine with a filter that's half the size of my 300hp truck.

I wish one day someone will show me their mower that broke down because it didn't have an oil filter.

Amazing, my 16 and 19 year old Toro 12.5 Kawasakis don't have filters. No issues. The 16 yr old unit still gets used on an almost daily basis. And oddly enough it's the one the guys want to use when we need to cut the occasional waist high fields.

Oil filters on push mowers, or even walk behinds are worthless. Some day I hope to be proved wrong.
Down here, it's dry and dusty as hell. We're having to clean the air filter on the 21's every 5-6 yards. Air filters on the rest of the equipment are cleaned daily. Oil filters are cheap compared to a new engine. I'll stick with my 50 hour interval oil and filter changes. Where you are, it's probably not nearly as dusty as it is here.

I am not going to get into all this

I have heard Kawi FJ180v has a tappered crankshaft at the end and is weaker. It can bend easier when hitting something. Anyone have that experience?

Other than that, sounds like Kawi is a pretty good engine.

We had a manual start(Kawa power) JD 14 21" yrs back that hit a brass sprinkler head and not only sheared the flywheel key but bent the crank also. Our Toro 21's(commercial) with Kawa have a cone bolted to the deck that has a bearing in it that the blade adapter is machined to fit. I wonder if Toro knew about Kawa crank problens and designed this"fix"
