My hedge trimmer is the two sided cutting bar, CHT2200. It's several years old and was my first piece of redmax. It has never given me any trouble and in fact after sitting for most of a year, still starts on the first pull. All of my redmax except the handheld HBZ 2601 blower, start and run great with 87 pump octane and Amsoil @100:1 (usually no sta-bil for storage either). The trimmer weighs in at 9.5 lbs dry, is 22.5 cc, walbro diaphragm carb. I've not ran many other brands for a long time so I don't know if this is heavy comparatively for a double or not.

        On the blower:
The blower is the newest redmax item and the only one that did give me fits at first. With a very slight seasonal carb adjustment, it now runs well but takes a short time to warm up. Improperly adjusted for the weather and it exhibits a cold nature.

I had an HS 80 for ten years, worn beyond worth fixing. Replaced it with a new HS 81, they seem to be a little lighter. I haven't had any issues.
