Question about trimmer. I am in the need of either a pole pruner or a chain saw or both. I am thinking about the pruner attachment for my Shindaiwa T2500 trimmer. My question is...How effective and powerful is such an attachment? Can I cut through relatively thick branches? Should I have the attachment and a chain saw to do commercial tree trimming effectively? If so, which one should I buy first just to get going as finances are tight right now. Oh,also was thinking about the hedge trimmer attachment. I have a pair of regular ones but I will need to put about $100 to $150 into them to get them going again. I know the benefit of having both, but is the attachment an effective trimmer? Thanks in advance!

I have a Stihl KM110, which is a few more cc's. I got the articulating(turns up to 90 degrees) hedging attachment, and it works great. It is not good for rounding small shrubs, but works great on hedges. Saves tons of time on taller hedges. It is not super fast, but it is fast enough. Just did about 150' of hedge in about 3 hours(incl cleanup). Pole-saw makes tree-trimming quick, but it is less important than the hedger. You can always use a regular chainsaw and a ladder. hope this helps:-)
