Is the Shindawa T270 the most powerful weedeater on the market? I haven't known another to have more power, but was wondering.

Man I looked at one of the new 4 strokes that is same power specs at the t260 and It isn't that heavy under 11 pounds. Compared to the Honda which was like 14 or more lbs. Shindaiwa is bad to the bone. I will get the trimmer I am referring to and a back pack blower next season. Not to badly priced. But rep said will hold up longer than stilh or echo. Guarranteed.

I wouldn't necessarily look at power IF you were planning on buying. I have a Husky 322l that I flat out love, compared to their 325lx. The 325 has the bigger engine, and is suppose to be their commercial line up. Heck, it's even the identical design. But the 322l is just so smooth and well balanced.
Having said that, the older Husky 225 would chew them both in half.
I assume the Shin 270 has a 27cc engine? That is not the largest out there, by far I believe. Husqvarna makes a model like the old 225 that goes up in the 30's on cc's. I don't have my booklet, but I also believe Stihl and Husqvarna make them up near the 50/60cc range which is twice the size. But used for cutting brush.
Good Luck.a.k.a.---> Erich

How does Redmax weedeaters compare to husky and sthil? In my area I see Redmax everywhere and mine is great, but I havn't used another brand of com. weedeater before. Also what is a good bakpack blower, I have been seeing Stilh everywhere and I wonder if it's a dealer monopoly?Im goanna get rich, how about you?

Actually I think alcpi is correct if you're talking trimmers.
Just looked in my old Shin. catalogue & the 350 is classified as a brushcutter but in the new catalogue they have a T version. Not sure if that's avail yet. Haven't seen it at the dealers.

Actually Husqvarna does make a full fledged trimmer (not brush cutter) model 232L that has a 31cc engine and weighs 13.7 pounds.
It has been tossed around as my next trimmer purchase. The guys have always preferred our older Husky 225l over the new designs. The 232L I am speaking of looks identical to the older models. Weird, it's even the same weight. I always wondered if the older 225 were larger than the claimed 25cc engine. I'll bet they were closer to 31cc. Probably the same darn thing, just rebadged!! I'm hoping that it is.
Hey Marty (if your out there).....Is the 232L the same thing as my older 225L???? Looks the same, weighs the same and the old 225L is such a beast. What do you think??
The old 225 Husky is the best built trimmer EVER in the entire world!!!! Yeh! Just heavy!a.k.a.---> Erich

Actually Alcpi, the bigger engine with the longer line may wear your clutches quicker. The smaller engine would rather bog down. A larger engine won't bog down, it will either spin that line, or spin the clutch. I have never needed a new clutch in any trimmer, even the nearly 10 year old ones. Hey, of course they are Husqvarna though!!! YEEAAAAAHHHHH!a.k.a.---> Erich
