  • Hustler Super Z against the new Toro 580 series?

    Hi,

I'm after some feedback please regarding the cutting performance of the Hustler Super Z with 60 inch deck and the new Toro Z Master series 580, with the 60 inch deck...

I primarily mulch, but side discharge will be handy.

And side discharging rough long thick stuff.

I have a Toro Z355 now, mulch and catch, need to upgrade soon.

    Thanks for any feedback,

    Tony,
    Australia.

      Thanks Tim.

I demoed the 25 hp super Z here in trying conditions and nothing could beat it (grass wise), very impressive.

The build is so simple, nylon bushes etc, a lot of time saved greasing!

We don't get the new models with larger engines for another month or two, I expect these to be even better.

      Mulches great too.

I am set on this brand so thank you for your feedback, but the new Toro 580 series with the 60" deck with adjustable baffle sounds like a winner too....decisions, decisions eh

Thanks again, oh, and too make this even more challenging, seen Kubota's new Z turner?

Never stops...selecting machines is harder than mowing!

But the Hustler would be very hard too beat and it's simplicity can only be a plus in the commercial world.

      Tony.

        tony,
thats one reason i like the super z. general maintenance on this mower is simple, there is no way to get oil on the machine or belts, during oil changes. there are 2 belts on the entire machine. you cant beat the park brake system, the speed is awsome, you cant beat the warranty, and the price is right. i have the quikchute ocdc on mine, it helps keep the grass out of beds ect.
feel free to e mail me for more info.
