We are a small lawn care company ending our first season of commercial mowing. We are looking to purchase a commerical rider to accomplish mowing some small apartment complexes as well as residential fall clean-ups. We have been unable to gather information on mowers that does not get contradicted by the next person we ask! Can anyone suggest what brand we should go with and why?

first thing I'd do is find out what is locally available,
do my research and see what I like about each type of mower and make a list of likes vs dislikes,
find out the level of customer service you'll receive by from each dealer by talking to other LCO's.
Finally I'd add up all the positive and negative issues; cost, parts availability, warranty, application, etc... weigh the odds and then make my purchase.
I'd love to get an Exmark but the local dealer here is a real pain the a--. If he sees that you've bought stuff elsewhere, he'll dis you like a cheap ho.
The Toro dealer never has anything, he has to order everything and won't let you test run it. His sales ppl are also very limited on knowledge but they can tell you about the owner and how great a man he was back in the day.
Now my dealer is high on cost but he always delivers. He always greets me when I walk in whether he's with somebody or not and lets me know how long a wait I'll have. He always expedites my repairs and calls when he says he's gonna call.
He offers; snapper, Husky, walker, kubota, little wonder and stihl products, PLUS he always has a FREE bbq on the weekends!!!
