G-Man...go do a search....you'll find out why Zack is looked at like he is. You probably missed alot of earlier posts made by him. Oh, he goes by Zack and Zack. (yeh that's Zack with a period after it!). The constant name calling he put out fired me up to disprove his funny theories.

He got aggrivated when he told the world he mows 8k-10k sq ft lawns all day in 10 minutes each...including loading and travel time. Then called us all idiots because we weren't that fast. But (of course) mathmatically it is impossible to mow a lawn every 10 minutes all day long without stopping, which I showed. Actually, he said he could easily do 48 lawns himself in 6 hours. Since then, he hates me.

Do do a good search, you will find alot to chuckle about. The name calling isn't the best part. Just alot of made up stuff purposely typed by him to aggrivate. He admits to getting a kick out of it. Just gets mad when he is proved wrong.

I really don't let it affect me that much because I know he only disagrees to argue, mostly just laugh about it. Some of his threads get locked or deleted. You can't imagine how many times he has called me...yes me, a scrub!! Imagine that! Of course, you'll find he has called nearly every one here a scrub.

      Grasshopper,

I don't disagree with what you said necessarily, it's just that most (you're excused by your own admission) of us have pride in what we own - it's only natural and some of us (again you're excused) make up our minds that what we own is the best - even if it isn't, simply because we've convinced ourselves it's the best. I wasn't offended by what you said, and I hope I didn't offend you either! []

I know Zack has an abrasive personality occasionally (i.e. 'rubs' people the wrong way'), but I chaulk it up to youth and the fact that, in his eyes at least, he thinks he's got this biz all figured out. Me on the other hand, I'm 50, and the older I get, the less I know it seems! Now there's nothing really wrong with Zack feeling this way. Perhaps he actually does know what he's talking about - maybe not.

Zack is not the only one I've seen who exagerates from time to time on this board.

For instance, I've taken Zack to task before with the "rev 'em up" advice - I don't agree with it. However, I have no doubt in my mind that he does in fact rev his mowers up, and he thinks he has something. So what?

My point is that it is really 'pointless' to argue such trivial bull****, and I think everyone, including Scapper and Zack would agree. I'm here to learn something, not engage in a pissing contest with two young bucks that can pee further than I can!!

If we were all smart, we'd use this medium to improve ourselves (that's my intention) and spread ideas around to help all of us.

Personally, I've come to respect many on this board. For example, Scapper did me a great service with his advice on trucks recently, and I thank him for it - he saved me about 30k I had no business spending.

Zack, well he hasn't been so helpful - yet, but I do find some of his methods intriguing and some that even deserve to be adopted by my company (rev'n motors up is not one however! LOL!).

Look, I'm not trying to be some mediator here - frankly I find these tit for tats amusing! Very entertaining sometimes. But for God's Sake! Enough is Enough! I mean, here we are on 4 pages already about something as trivial as which mower stripes the best??? I don't know, but I'll bet a good part of an excellent stripe job is due to the person on the handlebars - and not the mower itself.

This is like watching two young bucks duke it out to the death sometimes! And over what? Which frigging mower stripes the best? Who gives a rats pututski?! LOL!

Sometimes, you just have to back off and look at what's happening, laugh and go on.

      Best of luck to all

      Gary

Well if this persistant defimation continues I will dig up exact numbers but off the top of my head these are the production & quality issue results achieved from switching from Toro to eXmark mowers.

App. 14 per 100 call average seasonal call-back/complaint rate with the Toro's & 6 per 100 since switching to eXmark. Call-backs are only an indication of customer satisfation & the 8 per 100 diff. will translate unqualifing referrals & renewals. Almost a 5 percent production increase seasonal varying from a low of app. 2 percent spring to a high of 10-15 percent summer/fall.

eXmark has 2 decks which produce comparable results in lush conditions as the SFS. The TriVantage decks are 5" deep & are continuous welded 10-gauge top and 7-gauge side skirt. These decks can mulch, bag, or side discharge effectively & productively.

The eXmark TT & full size Lazer have the UltraCut decks. The UltraCut deck is 5.5" deep, which provides as much lift than the Toro SFS for cutting taller grass. This deck also has a continuous welded 10-gauge top and 7-gauge side skirt and adds a 10-gauge top reinforcement plate and 7-gauge reinforcement rings around the spindle assemblies.

The eXmark deck are welded unlike the Toro's stamped & more durable which may not be an issue depending on the type of cutting you do but I have found them to be more cost effective as well.

Looks like Old Zack was Right on the Money.

Toro just ditched the SFS deck and replaced it with the Turbo Force which is Deeper & has Baffles to increase velocity.
