  • Buy the Hustler Or Husqvarna

I am considering purchasing a new 60" ztr mower. I havent read a whole lot on here about the husqvarna so I was wondering what you guys think. I have read a lot of good things about the Hustler. Both mowers have the same size motor but I can get a kawasaki 25 on the husqvarna. Which would be best? The kholar or kawa. The dealer for husqvarna is asking $7150 and offers no interest for 12 months. The dealer of the hustler offers no payments for six months and asking $7800. Do these prices seem about right or what should i offer? Thanks for all your help this forum has been great.

that would have to be a pretty good hustler !!! Id be really trying to take the husky and pay it off in 12 months. It would be hard to refuse that offer. Both are reputable mowers i believe.

Did you mean husqvarna when you said husky? So i take it that is kinda high for the hustler. What do you think about the price on the husqvarna

Ya thats what i meant. Im not one to ask about prices. I havent bought a new mower since 02 . And when i do i call my dealer tell him what i want and send someone up to get it. Im a huge Bobcat fan. I see alot of the hustlers and very few huskys. I would demo both,,, at least take a nice long ride around the dealer grounds,, than i d see if i could justify that financing theory of mine w/ the quality of the husky. with that financing package it will be hard to lose.

I would buy the Hustler. I've read only good things about them, and am going to seriously look at the Super-Z this spring. Then again, I haven't even seen a dealer around here that carries Husqvarna ZTR's. Go with whatever brand has the best dealer, for sure. If you don;t, it may haunt you in the future.

              Woody,

They seem to set up shop inside John Deere dealerships. Thats what ive noticed anyhow.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I purchased the Hustler Super Z with the 27Kohler. The mower is great and I love the power. Its like getting a christmas present except for the cost. I traded my Hustler Fastrak in from last year($3200). Which I though was a pretty good deal since I only paid 4800 for it. I made around 20,000 with that mower and it was not even commercial. I have kinda started out small and trying to grow with time. I am 21 and in college majoring in accounting, who knows i may end up in the landscaping business and not the accounting. Me and a buddy have talked about buying a nursery here in lawrenceburg tn. He said he would sell it for 175,000 and that comes with a new ford tractor he just bought last year. I think we will wait till we graduate from college before we get into something like that. I was just wondering if any of you guys took any landscaping classes or programs??? Any help or advice that you guys have I appreciate it. Thanks for all the help. I cant wait to get the super z out for mowing season.

                        Hey guys,
to my knowledge the Husquvarna zero turns are actually orange yazoo-kee mowers. They bought out yazoo-kees not to long ago along with a bunch of other landscaping equipment companies like Bluebird. They went all out trying to get into the market with that large diesel engine by briggs and stratton/dihatsu, if I remember right I think it was 34hp and looked pretty nice, but I don't think they have sold many around here.
