  • looking for mowers

any tips on buying used equipment? I am one year in to the buisness and am looking for a larger walk-behind(at least 48"). I have a few commercial but mostly residential customers. I run an exmark 32" metro belt drive right now and am very please with it. I dont think i can afford new. whats the advantage of hydro drive vs. belt? would a belt drive be more reliable to buy used? Please help I need to buy soon!!!!!

    also looking

i also looking for a 48" wb mower, but feel in the long run i would be better off with a new machine than somone elses problom. i figure it should last at least 3 years and with an average of 15 mows per year her in upsate NY, that would cost about 90.00 per week. not counting the payback when i sell it or trade it in. i figure even though i am starting out i might as well start out right. peace

When it rains, that belt mower slips and is a big, heavy push mower.

When it rains, that hydro slows down for the conditions and keeps on cutting.

      End of story.
