  • craftsman zero degree mower?

i seen a 50" craftsman 18hp kohler engine zero degree turn mower in sears the other day for $3800. Now i know this is not professional commercial equipment but it seems like a great price if someone can not afford the better ones. In the past I have used a craftsman 42 inch tractor 10 hours a week for about 5 years and it has had no problem. any suggestions on this?

Jack D. has the right idea.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I did buy crapsman back in the '90's thinking it would save me money. I reasoned that it was throw away stuff and it would
be "cheaper" than always repairing the good stuff. Well, I was very wrong.

I looked at their backpack blowers and decided that it looked like an Echo repackaged as Crapsman. The first thing that went was the switch. The repair took a month and it cost me in downtime. I got the first one back and my second one went in with the same problem and it was out another month.
After only having both units for 8 months, they crapped out and I was told by the sales guy that the combustion chamber on both was fried and scored like I was doing a parking lot operation. They tried to get me to admit I was a commercial operation, but I refused to say it since my warranty would be void. Since they couldn't get me to admit that I was commercial, they had to stand behind the warranty replacement. But since I didn't want to replace the crap, I put the "refund" into a crapsman vac with sherdder along with the full warranty. The shredder was a joke, but I got 3 years parts and labor at their expense; $300/year, for 3 years. That more than paid me back for the crapsman junk.

Now you know why it's called CRAPSMAN: if it has a motor--RUN the other way QUICKLY.

      21" mower

i am on my way today to return a 21" 6.75hp craftsman mower i bought to "save money" it won't go up hills and it boggs down way more than my 5.5hp mtd or yard machine. I hope they will take it back without any cr*p.
