What are Gator blades???

Sorry for the post but I have been reading alot in the forum and find alot of you guys/gals talking about Gator blades? What are these, and how do they compare to regular blades? I have a Ex-mark 36' and also a 52", Do they make blades for my mowers???

The back lip of the blade is serrated like "gators teeth" in order to chop clippings and leaves more as they make their way around the underside of the deck before they fall to the ground or are discharged or bagged.
