Used Walk Behinds

Hey all,
I'm in the market for a used walk behind. I'm thinking something like a 36" or a 42". I just need something to get through gates with. I currently have a Dixie Chopper, and a 21'' honda walk behind. I don't mind cutting with the 21'', but I've got a couple of lawns that have 1 acre ++ back yards. Lately I have had re route, swing by home, and pick up the lawn tractor. The tractor however doesn't deliver a very nice cut, therefore I am having to search for a new mower. I am looking to spend no more than $750. Is there a possiblility that I'm going to find mowers?? Does anyone have an opinion on the brand that I should look into??

Also, if there are any other southern ohio people out there...... Where does everyone shop for used equipment??

i take a section of the chain link fences down (next to a corner post) and go in with the chopper. usually three nuts to un-screw.

That sounds like a great idea, but I'm not deal with c hain link, I have several of those privacy fences. Although If I do get any with the chain link I will try that.

it is possible to find a good used w/b for that price. You can check local dealers to see what they have on trade in, or check ebay.

Oh also I got a lawn today with one of those chain link fences. Thank goodness it wasn't that large. Anyhow I tried unbolting the fence and pulling it back....It probably took me half an hour to take it off only to realize that it is very difficult to put back on. Anyways, I'll definetly be buying a walk behind now.

Mowandgo, fencer use a comealong attached to a bar that hooks over the bar at the end of the chain link, in order to stretch it back to position to bolt it up. I'm not sure if you can purchase the bar/hook device, but you could certainly fabricate one easy enough. Its been a while since I've done this...

Stick with the "classic" Toro belt drives. They have superior steering and cut bluegrass like butter!!!
