  • billing

Currently I am mowing 30 yards a week. I'm sort of organized, but need help on billing. Anyone have any easy ideas for billing monthly, like putting a bill on the front door, or mailing it. What seems to work best for you. I was thinking of doing something like what Terminix does. They leave a bill and a mailing envelope in a little plastic bag on the front door. Does any one have an opinion on doing this.

    Thanks

I do same as delasgh. I mail my bills on the last day of the month. More convenient to drop all in mailbox then to walk up to door with each individual one.

All mine are sent out on the first. Roughly half are snail mail and the others are email.

In the past, I have done monthly billing by mailing the bill to them. This worked okay. This year I switched to credit cards and I am not going back to monthly. Credit cards are the way to go if you plan on growing your business any.

Email is great for communicating with customers. I do as much via email as possible. The majority of my estimates and proposals are sent via email, as well a lot of discussion about the property.

It's nice becuase you can stay in contact with folks without wasting time talking about little Billy's T-ball game. Plus, you have a record of everything that was said so if there is every any question about the way something was done then it's all on file.
