Exmark 48" walk behind...should I buy it?

A friend of mine wants to sell me his Exmark 48" walk behind... I don't have the specs on it ie. HP, model etc. I do know that it is about 5-6 yrs old and is well taken care of and serviced regularly. He only does a couple of lawns with it. The asking price is $1100-$1300. Does that seem to high or is this a fair price. I plan on using it as my main machine next season. Your opinion on this is...

Depending on the hours of machine. But if he didn't use as primary machine, probably is fairly low. But good price if is a hydro. If belt maybe 700 - 900 no more. Unless just immaculate. But seem overal good deal if is a hydro. And did he maintain it. Keep that in mind.

If you can figure out if it is belt or hydro, that would help alot.. Like Cole said, anything over 900-950 for a belt, is too much unless it is perrfect! Perfect or great maybe $1000...

Bill, Get us the rest of the specs on it and we can give you our opinion for sure. Liek they saud, if it is a hydro, sounds like a good deal. Personally, I will never buy another belt-driven mower again. Hydro all the way.
