WB Tires

The seal on my WB caster tire popped. Do any of you know what I need to do? Can it be re-sealed or will I need to put a whole new caster assembly on it???

Any info is appreciated. I will be talking to Lesco next week, but I'd just like to see what you think.

Hello qualitylandscaping:

Is this tire inflatable & you just can't get air back in to it, for the bead to set? If this is the case just put a tube in it. Sorry, just a Little unclear about your exact problem?

Its like a car/truck tire.. No tube, just a tire

Ok, if it's like a Regular Tire, Just put a Tube in it.

I've seen brand new tires being installed on brand new rims & it be impossible to get the bead to set so it can hold air. All you can do is put a Tube in it, unless you just absolutely want to buy a new tire! []

Here's the way to do it....Pop your mower up on its back. Take one of those ratchet straps and wrap it all the way around the tire (while it's on the rim. Now winch that puppy down around the tire pretty hard. Now grab your air compressor and fill it with air until it grabs the rim and seals!!! Cake walk! If it has a leak, then definately do what GrassMaster has instructed.


Those type of caster tires must be the worse invention for walk behinds. I've heard people putting down the Toro front casters because they weren't "semi pneumatic". In 14 years, I never had a Toro tire pop off it's rim, ever. An idependent contractor had a Snapper that always had those "other" types pop off. Then we bought a Toro last year with those "other" tires. HUH, they pop off too.

I prefer the smaller Toro tires that actually hold enough air pressure and have thin enough walls to flex versus popping completely off.

I tubed all mine, what a pain they can be.

a strap and wd40 always works for me.

I use a strap and liquid dish soap.

thanks for the input guys.. I'm going to haul it to Lesco next time I'm in there and have them fix it for me.
