  • 5FT TRAILER IS 52,OR 54 TO TIGHT???

    I USE A 48 INCH WALK BEHIND AND I AM SOON GETTING A 2ND MOWER. WOULD A 52 OR 54 INCH DECK BE TO TIGHT MY TRIMMER RACKS ARE NOT IN THE WAY. ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT -THANKS

    A 5' trailer is most likely about 62-65" wide. I don't see why you would have any problems getting either size mower to fit on the trailer..

    If you already own the trailer, go out with a tape measure and give an extra 2" onto each mower width (54 and 56) and see how they would fit.

    Thats the best info I can give you..

      You can't have a trailer large enough. Try a 6=12 featherlite aluminum trailer cost about 1500 here.

        Yeah that trailer will work, but you won't be able to get the mowers on it sideways. Getting themowers on sideways will allow you to put mor eon there. Your much better off getting a 6.5' x 12 or 16. That way you can have the mowers go on sideways, which is also safer, and fit more on it.

          Either mower, the 52" or the 54" should fit just fine onto a 5' wide trailer, although you may have to either fold up the discharge chute or remove it all together. We basically remove our discharge chutes anyways just for extra manuverability when mowing.
