  • Engine flooded with gasoline

I pinched an O-ring putting a carburator back together on a Kawasaki FH680V and when I went to use it the next morning the engine was dripping gasoline from the exhaust. I drained the engine, took out the spark plugs and fixed the carburator. My plan is to put on new oil filter, fill with oil as normal, start engine, run for 10 minutes. Drain oil change filter, fill with oil and use as normal. Anything else I should do first?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sounds fine to me. I would definetely change the oil after a brief warmup.

      It works fine now

I drained it, changed the oil twice and everything seems to be working fine now. Thank you for your help!!
