OK, I think I've finally lost my mind. I removed the starter off my Gravely Promaster 260z to lubricate the solenoid. It sticks sometimes. When I put it back on the motor and try to connect the ground back to the battery it spins the starter without the key being in the ON position. Following normal procedure of disconnecting the ground first then the + and connecting the same way. + then -. Did I miss something or cross the wires on the solenoid somehow?? It has the 25hp Kawasaki FH721V-CS09 engine. Thanks!

No takers?? OK here's a few more things I've tried. Disconnected the wire from the ignition switch. Still does the same thing with only the hot and ground connected. Can it be connected backwards?Originally posted by BIGSTICK View PostOK, I think I've finally lost my mind. I removed the starter off my Gravely Promaster 260z to lubricate the solenoid.
