I saw a Husqvarna CZ4817 STR at lowes for $3999. It has a 17 HP Kohler and a 48" cut http://www.lowes.com/lkn?action=prod...592-572-CZ4817 . Would this be a suitable mower? How fast would it go? They son't have them on the Husq website but they have a camparable one that goes 9.5mph. The only differences I saw in the two were that the one on the husq website had 1 more hp, armrest, and a metal grass thrower instead of plastic. I would be doing about 5 medium sized yards a week with it.

I looks pretty decent. But it may have many cheaper parts. For example that plastic chute. That could be just the start of some cheap parts to sale that thing for only 4k. But I am sure it is nice either way. For just 2k more or so you can get a guarranteed quality commercial and fast, reliable service at your local husky dealer. -

I have the commercial one with the 18hp kawasaki and it runs like a champ. I had a metal chute but tossed it since I put the mulch kit on.
The only thing plastic on mine is the tanks and I paid under 5k.Comment

Did u pay under $5000 for it new? I called my local Husq dealer (not Lowes) and they wanted like 5300 for a new 44" 18hp! I would love to be able to find a new ZTR for $5000 or under with a 48" cut.Comment
