Once a week. Have good properties, we don't hit rocks and stuff.

Once a week also, unless we hit something.

I swap out the blades every 8 to 12 hours of use with a sharpened and balanced set. The soil is sandy here and takes its toll on the blades.

I sharpen my and balance my blades every day, sometimes I switch the blades out half way through the day to ensure a quality cut.

I also sharpen every week, but I only use the mower about 10 hrs per right now. I save my rough country props to the day of blade sharpening so I don't mess them up right off the bat. Craw-dads hills and mole hills are bad on some.

QUESTION: do the marbain blades really reduce blade sharpening and give a better cut?

If so, can you get these on any make of mower deck?

                Thanx, Kevin

                  Kevin,

I only see a slight bit of difference in the quality of cut over the Gator blades. I don't see any difference, though, in them staying sharp any longer than any other type of half-way decent blades.

Do some searches on this site and any other that you visit for blades, sharpening, grinders, etc. This has been covered at least a thousand times already, LOTS of good info already here on the subject.
