I want to repaint my Exmark Walk Behind; where can I buy the paint?
I have snailup/dailup, so it takes forever to find anything.

      Price

I'm way out in the country, finally found a dealer; did not have any in stock, said it cost $15 a can; sounds high, but I guess they have their own color code so there's probably not an aftermarket brand.

      Thanks Tater50

take it to a paint store or even lowes and tell them what material you are painting and they can match it up for you.

You can't repaint it the same as the factory unless you have a powdercoat setup because those things are powdercoated OEM so first off few folks exist who can sell you the exact Exmark specification paint in powder form and then you need the know-how and tools to apply the powder to the steel and an oven to bake it in.

Powder coating is a process most commonly seen in automobiles but more than a few manufacturers use it.
Lawn mower manufacturers are among those who do, it is difficult if not impossible to match their paint specifications and process.
So what most people do is they give it their best shot with some sort of liquid paint.
            Bad idea.

Powder coating is a far tougher (and thicker) finish, even the best airgun won't come even close to matching the factory finish in terms of durability.
It won't last long before peeling, cracking, and every time you brush that mower up against something paint just comes right off.

Also once you paint it if you ever try to sell it, guy like me will walk away from anything that's been repainted.
Don't want it, don't care why.

My opinion, better off leave it as is.

I bought a can of Toro paint years ago and never used it. I agree that unless it's really bad it's best to leave it alone, as I would also be wary of a repaint. Some look beautiful, but it could indicate a machine older than claimed.

You can probably try amazon, ebay, or just google it and mail order some.
