I found a 36" gear drive 12.5 kohler wb that looks in really good shape. The guy has had it about 4 years and it's just a back up mower. How much would something like this be worth?? I talked to the local dealer and he said betwee $1500-$1800 does that sound right??

I just sold a 3 year old Ferris 36" belt drive with a 14 hp Kaw. in awesome shape for $1200. Those prices are way to high in my opinion. -
Yeah that's what I was thinking....hell a new one is 2300 I ended up getting this one for $1000 with a velke. I think it'll work for a back-up mower even though I'm not really fond of the pistol grip. I've never used a walkbehind with a velke. What gear is the fastest you can go one the velke??Comment

You can go full speed on a velke. Once you get used to it you will never take it off. I never disconect mine unless the yard is to wet. As far as the pistol grips once you use them they become second nature.Comment
