question about blades

I have a Husqvarna 4218QL. Looking to buy extra set of blades so I will always have a sharp set to swap with. I mostly use the side discharge and cut twice a week during the spring and also have a 3 bushel bag if that is not possible. Should I get regular oem blades or use gator blades for the second set or use both as a double and use the side discharge?

Use double gators. Tried it last week and found out that I should have been doing it all along.

I would try the Gator blades. I don't have Husky equipment but they well on my equipment.

Do double gator blades work well without a mulching deck, just using a side discharge ? What are the pros and cons?

I use just the single heavy duty Gator blades and they work okay with the side discharge. Haven't tried the double yet. I think that the heavier duty Gators are the Gator Magnum blades. They seem to work better for me here with the sandy soil because they don't wear out as quick.

Almost every dealer carries gator blades check with them first. If not you can order them off the internet.

Like grasschaser said most dealers will carry them. I found a harware store near by thought that will dive me atleast a 10% discount on anything I buy. I usually by them by the case from him and get even more of a discount.

Have to try to cut costs somewhere
