  • Stihl, husquavarna or John Deere?

I'm in the process of upgrading my trimmer. i have used crap in the past but i now want to move up into a product that will last and not frusterate the hell out of me. What are your experiences and recommendations regarding these models:Stihl FS 85, km 110, Husqvarna 326 LDX, and the John Deere XT140SB. I have a John Deere Ja62 walk behind mower and love it and the service from my dealer is top notch(they also sell stihl). Your advice is much appreciated cuz none of these are cheap and i want my money to be well used. Thanks.

I'd pass on the JD 2cycle, I want say they're made by homelite.

The husky 326 seems a bit heavy but I've never ran one,

My stihl seems to be pretty well balanced and I'll probably stick with that for some time until somebody jams something else in my hands to try.

I have 3 stihls and 1 husquavarna. Id pass on the deere 2 cycle stuff to. My opinion they look chinsy. All my guys prefer the stihls cause they are a tad lighter. The husky is pretty much my trimmer and seldom does anyone use it. Its a bad monkey!!! If you just want it for your mowing crew than the stihls will do fine and youll never have any trouble w/ them. Only thing id suggest is installing metric bolts in the handle cause the tourque bit junk that comes in them will shake loose the first day. I think they are .6 but cant remember. 1 1/2 " long. 2 of them. The husquavarna is just much more potent and is much better in ditch lines or any other heavy growth. Differance is i pay around 450 for the stihls and the husky was in the 6's .

Hey my bad . reread my post and my trimmer is a shindawia. Not a husky. Ive never ran a husky trimmer but theyre back packs are great. Any how my point was i highly reccomend the shindawia and my second choice would be stihl.
