  • Husqvarna 325L Line Trimmer - Burning my arm

Hey, I have this Husky trimmer that burns the hell out of my arm when using it. Regular trimming, the top burns me. Roll it over to do some tight work and the bottom crankcase burns me.

What the hell gives. I have had it for about for months. It runs like a champ but burns the snot out of me.

I think I will complain to Husqvarna today. The new line-up for this season has new top and bottom covers. So THEY know the situation is not right.

Whatcha think? Complain for an upgrade or leave it alone????

Has anyone else had this problem also?

      Will do,

It just seems they know about the problem. Now they need to address it to whoever complains. Not to mention if they happen to see this forum and the replies that I may or may not get it would help matters I''m sure.

By the way, I have been using Lawn and Landscapes forum for the past year or so./ I like this forum much better. I found it through your link attached I found in a thread over there. Not as much politics here.

I have the 325L and the top is protected, but when I turn mine over it will burn also. If I'm not paying close attention. It is a problem, but I do like their trimmer better than anyone else's.

I've got both, with and without the extra plastic. No problems here. The trimmer is light enough so that you don't need to 'rest' it on your arm. Let it hang down a bit more. Personally, I always turn the handle backwards. Not upside down. I take it off, flip it, and put it back on. It makes you hod it differently. Try that and see if it helps with how you are balancing it.

I will agree with you......they are great trimmers!

Not for nothing, but i heard today from a former husky dealer, that husquvarna was bought by a vaccuum cleaner company.

Do you think their products all will suffer because of their new owner?
                  Thanks

There is no new owner.....Electrolux has owned Husqvarna for many years, along with Jonsereds, Poulan, Weedeater, AYP (Craftsman mowers & tractors) and various appliance brands. Husqvarna is also branded on some of the vacuum cleaners that Electrolux manufactures. All one big, happy family.

Husqvarna sold the motorbike division in the late 80's i think.
They (Husqvarna) also owns Bluebird, YazooKees.
They have been in business over 300 years, started making guns, and still make sewing machines.
This company keeps getting bigger and bigger, tons of money behind them.

Husqvarna was one company that was interested in Snapper.
But Simplicity bought Snapper a year ago.

Have you seen the heat sleeves for mechanics. I think Ringers and Mechanixwear both make them.
