Toro engine replacement

I have a Toro 32" recycler mower with a 13hp Kolher. The engine is about shot but the chassis and deck are in good shape. I have an almost new 15hp Kohler and was wondering if anyone has ever made a swap to a larger hp engine? I know it shoud fit the chassis but was concerned that it may over power the blade. I would appreciate any input.

Pretty easy to do. Check your bolt mounting patterns to make sure they are the same. Also shaft length and diameter. 2hp wont make a very noticeable of difference in power, maybe a little less bogging in wet conditions or over growth.

As for over powering blades
Just set RPMs to get correct blade speed.
