one guy was going over and over his leaves as i cut the yard next door. i told him i would go over the leaves and throw all the clippings into his flower beds for $20.00. he said his mower (a old 21" murray 5 hp) would do just as good a job mulching as my dixie chopper.

I watched him for another 10 min. I said listen your going to kill yourself doing that. I'll do it for you and if it is not done perfect you don't have to pay me.

I did it in less than 5 min and he said ' That dawg gone thing doesn't mulch it pulverizes. ' I now service his yard on a weekly basis.

they are adding the website to the trailer on the sides and back. just got the website up about a week ago and the counter isn't working yet. to early to tell if it helps or not. next march will give the answer.

Well, I think you should say mulch. That IS what you are doing, no matter what you customer calls it. If it confuses us in the industry, imagine what others are thinking. A flyer is not the place to play mind games with potential customers. JMO

There's likely a better way to phrase it (we are trying to help, not hinder, lol):

We don't just "mulch" leaves or grass, we PULVERIZE them into dust for a quicker return to the food chain.

Your Opinion has been noted. A little strong on saying i lied to them but then again everyone has an opinion. Check the link again as it has been corrected to portray the truth

but i never started off by lying to them since it was at the bottom of the page.

I have been self employed for over 20 years in sales and have never lied to any of my customers and would never dream of lying to them. you get no repeat business that way. And yes the Lawn Service business is a sales business.

Everyone can make some money but only a few know how to sell the service. As in any profession 90 % of the people make half the money and the other 10% make a whole lot of money.
