This is usually how I approach a bid. Figure out how much everything costs you...double it...add in labor costs( amt of hrs * $45 or what ever you charge)....Make sure there is a 30% profit margin on it and you are set to make some money.

        estimate

You need to figure out what equipment cost per hour. what you plan to use to strip the sod. me 450 -350 a day for the skid loader (bobcat) Plus I don't dig holes by hand for any tree so a mini excuvator might be up you alley but I recomend a back hoe or teramite (mini back hoe) save your body thats why we made equipment.
I would say 450 a day use a mini back hoe (helps move everything you got)
        plant cost x2
        loam $18 = $40 cuyds
labor $ what ever you pay u and a couple of workers (use the local shelter if you need a hand for a day just pay them when u get done works for me if I need a couple extra bodies for a job)
don't forget to add in the cost to repair what ever area you will damage running over constantly
plus 40% and you have your estimate and make sure it says estimate you should be with in 10% +-.

Got a small JD tractor with a back hoe, $200 a day, and a sod cutter for $65. I bid it at $3100, a little high but I like to cover my butt for unforseen stuff like roots, clay etc.
