  • Best Pansy Combos

Just wondering what you guys think some good eye catching color combinations are for pansies. I have a real long, curvy bed which is about 2 feet wide and about 100 feet long. Its at a very expensive neighborhood entrance which also gets tons of vehicle traffice off the street each day.

    Pics would be really great!

    Thanks

We use a lot of the varigated colors. Deep blue with purple middles. Light purple with dark purple middles. Yellow with deep red middles. And solid red. We just dropped 60 flats yesterday, and some more today.

If it's only 2 feet wide, you might want to do 25' of one color, then 25' of the next color. Know what I mean? Maybe some mums on the ends?

Yellow, then deep purple, then white/purple, then red. Looks good if you plant them every 7-8 inches, and they are decent sized plants. If you skip a color, skip the white/purple mix ones because they look a bit different than the other 3 colors.

But of course, that's just my opinion.

we always try to stick with one color sceme. Lavenders and whites all go good together. Or you could go with a more bold colors like yellows, reds, purples, and blues. Shop around there is tons of pansy colors and everyone has different selections.

Thanks guys for the advice. I will probably go with 25-30' of one color and blend the next into each other.

                Thanks

I like to use single colored beds. I like the using yellow for a warm and inviting attention getter.
