  • Flower bed edging material??

I have a mowing client that wants her flower beds redone. There some old landscaping timbers in place now. I would like to install something that wont rot and would be faster and cheaper to put in once the old timbers are out.

This flower bed is next to the house and bordered by a sidewalk to her back yard. There is one 90° turn as it goes to the back porch. The area is 3 ft by 60 ft. total with the 90° turn to the back.

Can anyone give advice, websites or pictures of a border material that would be inexpensive and have a nice curb appeal??

    Thanks!

    I use grass.

I can't stand using any type of edging material anymore... I think it all looks so tacky... A nice edged bed is the only type I do lately. If you must use something then poly bed edging would do and won't rot, it's fairly cheap, but I think it still looks tacky. I leave all that stuff for the trailer parks.

This is already filled above the level of the sidewalk. I think it would be a whole lot cheaper for my customer to not remove any soil and existing mulch.

I agree, edging and scalloped stone is for trailer parks.....natural all the way.!

Here is one of the beds at my house... They need to be edged again, but they used to be scalloped pink (uck) stone edging.

Colmet edging is easy to install, widely available, doesn't rot and is inexpensive.
