  • Ground cover for slope

I am looking to install a ground cover on an area that is 150' long by 60' wide. The slope is going to be 45 degrees approximately. Presently the customer has a 4' - 3 tier retaining wall (12') that was built 10 years ago but started deteriorating after 3 years. I suspect that improper construction has led to the death of this wall. The customer(a church) does not want to spend the money to rebuild the wall. Does anyone know of a good ground cover that has very low maintenance but good stability for the slope?

That looks like a good option. Low maintenance. Thanks for the reply.

I don't know if crown vetch will grow that far north, but you can seed the slope real cheaply with it. As long as the area around it is mown, it should be trouble free forever, and has a nice flower. Great for slopes!
