converting square yards to cubic yards

i have approximately 10,000 square yards of mulched area that needs to be scraped and remulched, using either pine bardk or cypress, at about 2 inches thick. what formula do you guys use as I have experimented with several. Thanks for the help.

There is 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard
So i took the 10,000 SQ yards Devided it by 27 and got 370 then i devided that by 6 and got 61.7 cubic yards
