O.K., my turn for help with bid. I working on a landscaping bid for an apartment building that involves laying 200 yards of sod. How long on average would it take 2 men to lay 100 yards?

i only put down floritam (st augustine) grass in florida.
i charge 50cents a sqft to lay it on bare dirt.
any scraping, weed killing, dirt removal, any extra laboris charged $45 an hour for a two man crew.
i give the customer a little of time, maybe a half hour, but i do ok on the sod for profit.

We get our Floritam (St. Augustine) for $.17 sq/ft and charge a total of $.27 sq/ft installed with no dirt work or additional prep. But I really can't help you with this one, because we do sod anything as small as 100 sq/ft. It ends up being more trouble then you could ever make off the job.

200 yds you are better off paying an little extra per yd. and having it installed with the delivery.
That would be better and cheaper than paying labor that is not skilled.
Sod wh.cost = 2.00
Sod cost = 2.00per yd
Mark-up = .50
installed = 1.00
Delivery = .50 price may vary
Total = 4.00 per yd x 200 = 800.00
Prepare ground $220.00 may vary
1020.00
The labor is better spent prepareing the ground.
Good Luck !
