I know theres alot of factors that go into play for this question but would anyone say that 8 to 12 thousand would be about right to get started out with as far as equipment goes. scag 36" walk behind and a 48" ztr with weed eats and so on, enclosed trailer. no truck already have one. thanks

Buy what you need for the properties that you gain. You may only need one mower at first instead of both a Z and a walk behind, but to save money, you can look for low hour, used equipment. While you need to have a keen eye when looking over used equipment, there are some good deals on units with only a few hundred hours on them.

This is a way to conserve money and put more towards advertising.

As for your numbers, they are in the ballpark.

thanks for the advice, but those two machines are pretty much needed from what ive researched and asked about. the walk behind would be mostly for around the lakes, canal banks and ditches. theres alot of drainage here in south fl. thanks.

believe it or not every property either had plenty of ditches on commercial plazas and commercial residential seemed to all have lakes or small ponds. when a developer builds the south florida water management set guide lines as for as how much retention ponds are to be put in place, replaceing the same amount that it would normaly hold or more for that area.
