Wanamaker Nursery in McMinnville, TN sold me garbage!
Please note the Wanamaker Nursery in McMinnville, TN sold me garbage. I bought 50 Leyland Cypress Trees and about 6 Claudia Magnolias. Unfortunately I paid up front. I should have refused the whole load of trees and sued them. Many of the root balls were just sacks of loose dirt that looked like the bare root was stuck in the bag and then the bag was filled with dirt. When the bags were unwrapped, the dirt actually fell out of the bag. What a joke. These people couldn't be selling landscape material more than once to any landscape contractor. When I contacted them about the problem, I got the Louie syndrome. "Oh, Louie's not here. You'll have to talk to Louie." The bottom line was that Louie was never there and I doubt there was even someone named Louie. Everyone of the Magnolias died in short order. All of the Leyland Cypress trees were full of spider mites when they got here. Only 5 of the Leyland did not die. No telling how much money I spent screwing with the deal believing no one would or could sell this kind of garbage and stay in business. The 5 Leylands that lived still look like they just barely survived the Nazi gas chamber. Hear me loud and clear. Wanamaker Nursery in McMinnville sells crap. When I called to ask them to make restitution, I got more excuses than you now hear on TV during the Presidential debates. I could never get through to the guy that could make a decision to make things right. That guy just never took my call. I am 58 and have seen a lot of con artists, but these people have to be at the top of the list.
