but my cork is about to pop because I have finally come to the realization that:
The new Toro 21 inch SUCKS!!! I hate it. This piece of garbage isn't worth $200.
I bought two of these mowers at $999 each two months ago. I have given this piece of crap the benefit of the doubt for quite a while now, but now I've had it. As far as I'm concerned Toro can take this piece of junk and cram it.
Why?
For one thing. It's too freaking heavy. I do mostly residential lots. Over 160 of them. Many of them are small with lots of turns. This mower is so freaking awkward...it's horrible in small places.
Also, the sheer weight of this machine wears out the wheel parts incredibly fast. I have replaced the inner wheel workings no less than 4 times (at $50 each) in two months. This was NEVER a problem on the old units.
Also. it's getting cooler here in texas finally...yet not cold....maybe 60 degrees in the mornings....and these stupid mowers will absolutely not start without pulling the chord at least 25 times. What a freaking joke. I change the oil on these religiously, too.
And the thing about TORO....they will do absolutely NOTHING under warranty. No matter what happens with the unit, they have a way of making it MY fault that the unit malfunctioned. There's always a way out for them. I don't even bother sending in the warranty cards anymore.
I need a good mower, fast. I don't care what it costs. I'm about to start panicking.
