  • Landscape Grass?

I beleive its called landscape grass....This lady wants me to clean out her beds and cut down her plants. Most are all dead and I will just cut to the ground and cover with some mulch but she has some tall wispy grass like plants. Are those ok to cut down to the ground for the winter months?

You can cut them back, but they may add some visual interest during the winter months when there's nothing else "going on" in the beds. Try cleaning out the rest of the beds and leaving the grasses to see how it looks with just them there. If it looks good, add your mulch and be done.

It's probally pompous grass and can be cut next spring before growth starts. I like that grass and would leave it for winter effects.
