pissed off over $75

i got one guy who owes me $1100 , another guy who owns 2 italian eat joints owes me $30 and the one that makes me mad is the $75. this is a woman who i gave a one time cut back in july. she called and said her mower was broke. i went and cut it for $75. she paid me about a week later after a few trys to get my $$$ so i guess this time i should have known better. she lives about a mile from me up here in the country. anyway in middle oct. i was getting gas at the the country store where we live and somebody says god bless me, steve and dela's lawn care is here and i turned around and it was this woman. she asked could i do her lawn again. well i did and while i was there she said she would pay me but she had to go out for about 30 min.and would catch me when she got back. well 2 hours later i was done and no lady. i called 3 or 4 times and left messages. no response. on nov. 1 i billed her like i do my regulars. no response. i have called more and the same. today i went by there and the cars were there and some 4 year kid came to the door and said he was the only one home and there were no adults there. what makes me mad is these people have about 20 acres and have a house that looks like a castle with a guest house with about a 2 acre pond, horses and all kinds of ****. oh yea they run the local baptist chuch. go figure. mr. and mrs. pastor. sorry for the long thread but i needed to vent to someone other than my wife.

Or, if you really wanna be a d!ck, go to the church during the service, and whenver they ask the congregation if anyone has any prayer requests, say 'I would like prayers that I can get money back from that woman.' and point your finger at her. my wife went there this afternoon. cars in the driveway and no answer at the door. as she was leaving the lady's daughter drove up whom i might add lives in the guest house.....the daughter said her mom was just tired and that is why she didn't answer the door. she also said her mom wasn't trying to avoid us. now trust me guys i don't need the $75 to survive but this is bs. i got the e-mail address for the church. that will be next then i might just hook up my16' trl and breakdown at the entrance to the church with a nice sign on the side.

I had this widow lady do this same thing to me. She was in her 60s and co-owner of a Insurance company. She called and said her mower was broke. I went over and the grass was very high. While i was cutting , the freakin biotch drove off with no notice. I did a bit of chasing to try and get paid. So after she gave me the run around for some time. I went in her Insurance company and in a loud voice said "I WANT MY MONEY!!!"" AND I AM NOT LEAVING UNTIL I GET IT"
Dun this azzwipe when there are people nearby. She just might care what they think
She led me outside and said I embarrassed her and that I was taking advantage of a widow lady. I said then give me my f'ing money and i will go away. She then paid me in cash and I went away. HAHAHAHA
A few months later both owners were charged with fraud and went to jail lol
The ol saying dont judge a book by its cover is so very true. Crooks come in all shapes and sizes and disguises

Last year I had a client who had me mowing 2 accounts, her house and her apartment building. They wernt very big accoutns and she was good for payin for the first half of the season. After the second half i stoped recieveing payments after sending bill after bill. Finnaly in the middle of September I went up to her house on the weekend when she was usually home and found her neighbor by her house. I went up and asked him what was going on and he replied she moved back to Hattii. Never even told me or never gave me a number to contact her at to recieve my money, 800 dollars worth. Never saw that money again or heard from her .

Harsh but effective those church people really have to keep up with their peers plus look like good christians at the same time. the town paper is another good spot if it has a section for those sort of letters like letters to the editor. you can point them out without actually naming names using their wealth and status in the community as a description.

small town and country stores? sounds like a gosip spot. maybe there is some one there you can put in a word with, to get back to them that you are discussing their poor buisness practices with others and need to be paid on your accounts.

Feel. Think. Act.
don't do anything desperate yet, sleep on it before making a wrong decision. a late customer who still pays is still a customer. who knows they might give you some more business, if not referals, in the future. don't burn your bridges.

my follow up on this b-tch.she called the house this am and spoke with my wife and said she was sorry over and over. her excuse was that she was tired . i guess she has been doing the piano player for the last month. anyway my wife is a very nice person and told her to just put the check in the paper box and she would come by and get it later when she went out. 4 hours later my wife goes by there and no check. she goes to the door complete with all cars in the driveway. no answer. she goes to the guest house and talked with the daughter who said her mom was just too tired to answer the door. my wife asked her to go get the check that was supposed to be left in the box. the check has been gotten and as far as the previous post about small time usa , well the gossip got started last weekend. i guess somebody had a big mouth. lol . my wife also went to the italian eatery and got our $30. now i guess i will work on the $1100. the guy paid me $400 after 2 months so at least he trying. thanks for all the post !
